I solved this by following the steps below (copied from the linked article) exactly. Press the recovery button next to the HDD light. In configuration, turn off Secure boot, select Reset to Setup Mode. Press F10 to save and exit. Turn off the machine again, press the recovery button.
Posted: Feb 26, 2021. Options. Enter into boot menu by pressing the F2 key when turning on ur laptop. Go to the boot section and in there If UEFI option is the one enabled using the arrow up and down keys change it to Legacy boot after doing that save ur changes before exiting. That should do the trick.
My Lenovo laptop was working fine until i started it up from it being shut down and it brings me to the Boot Menu. From here i cant exit or select any of the options. If i shut down and turn back on it brings me back to the same screen.
Start by connecting hard drive again and after that try to boot up. If it works, take all other components but RAM, put them back and try to boot up. If it still works connect everything, try to boot up. If it hangs remove RAMs, download memtest86 and test all RAM modules with it, one by one.
Press F12 to enter the boot menu and select the USB. Or press F1 to enter the BIOS and change your boot sequence to automatically select USB if present. There is an article relating the "idea pads 100" that had problems to access the BIOS, I will include the link o help you out.
